      What is the cancel policy

      A.

      The cancellation fees are below.
      On the day: 100% of the accomodation fee.
      One day before: 75% of the accomodation fee.
      5 days before: 50% of the accomodation fee.
      10 days before: 20% of the accomodation fee.
      15 days before: 10% of the accomodation fee.

      Is there are different fee for children?

      A.

      There is a different fee for children under 12. The details can be seen at the reservation page. Also, children under 3 are free.

      How can I make changes or check the reservation?

      A.

      A confirmation email will be sent to the email you have registered after the reservation has been made.
      You can access the URL on the confirmation mail to change or cancel the reservation.

      Is it possible to make the reservation on that day?

      A.

      Since it is an accomodation operated through self-service, we need some time to welcome our customers with full preparation.
      Please make the reservation at least 5 days prior to the visit.

  • About check-in and check-out

      What time is the check-in and check-out

      A.

      Check-in is possible from 15:00 to 19:00, and check-out is until 10:00.
      Since it is operated by self-service, the time for check-in and check-out is unchangeable. Please be on time.

      If it is a self-service system, how do I receive keys and how can I check-in?

      A.

      When you arrive, there is a check-in box just outside the accommodation which you can check-in through identification verification. Then, you will receive the PIN to enter the accommodation building.
      Therefore, we will be providing you a PIN to the check-in box but not the PIN for the accommodation building during the reservation step. Not just the keys, but the check-in system is all ITfied, and we also use the *suitebook, check-in service, and the cloud concierge service that support the remote reception.
      The details will be shared after the reservation.

      Is check-in available during the night? What happens if we cannot make it to the check-in time?

      A.

      Unfortunately, check-in is only available 15:00~19:00.
      If it is impossible to be on time for the check-in, please call us directy.

      Do I need to show something for check-in?

      A.

      Please make sure to check-in in advance, through the email that will be sent to you 5 days before your scheduled stay.
      At that time, we will inform you of the check-in box PIN required for check-in on the day.
      There is nothing for the customer to prepare individually.

      By scanning the QR code in the room, the system will automatically check-out.

      The smart lock system which SEN.RETREAT uses, shares the dedicated PIN to the only the customers, so please do not worry.

  • About the service

      If we stay more than one night, can the rooms be cleaned?

      A.

      Unfortunately, no cleaning service for the accomodation being used. If you necessarily need one, please contact us as soon as possible.

      Is it possible to send the luggages before arriving or send luggages back home from the accomodation?
      Also, it is possible to leave my luggages before the check-in?

      A.

      Since it is a self-service system, no services related to human work are provided.

      Is it possible to arrange birthday cakes?

      A.

      It can be adjusted if you call us at least two weeks before. However, there is an additional fee. If you need one, please contact us through mail or by calling directly.

      Is there a curfew?

      A.

      There is no specific curfew, but since the accomodation is a quiet place surrounded by mountains, we recommend you to come back before it gets dark.

      Is it possible to do fireworks?

      A.

      Yes it is. However, please respect the residents near the accomodation consider the time and volume.

      Is it possible to use the public transportation to go there?

      A.

      We highly recommend you to visit with car if you plan to travel around.
      There is a bus from the JR Kii Tanabe station, so please check the details at the website of each public transportation.

      We would like to treck the Kumanokodo but is it outside othe Kumano Kodo route?

      A.

      SEN.RETREAT is made for those who visit Kumano Kodo, so the it is along the route. Please use our facilities when you plan to treck in the Kumano Kodo.

      Where can I find information about closed roads, etc.

      A.

      You can find them in the website for Wakayama Prefectures's road information.http://www2.wagmap.jp/wakayamadoro/top/. In the winter, the roads may freeze and gets slippery so please check the weather information before departuring.

      How many people can stay at the accomodation?

      A.

      Currently one buildding is possible for rent and from 2 people to 10 people can stay there.
      The rooms are, two Japanese-styled rooms (1~3 people) on the first floor, one Japanese-styled room (1~4 people) on the second floor. Each room has its own key so it is possible to use as groups, family groups or company training camps

      Are pets available?

      A.

      Unfortunately, pets are no allowed. It is possible to visit with pets at SEN.RETREA/ CHIKATSUYU so please check them out.

  • About food

      What happens if it rains for the BBQ plan.

      A.

      We have a indoor BBQ stove prepare in case of bad weather so it can be enjoyed without any problems.

      Is it possible to do our own BBQs with the food we bring if we do not use the food included stay plan?

      A.

      There is a mini kitchen for you to use to make your own food. There are also BBQ equipment sets which can be used for free.
      ※ BBQ equipment sets include a stove, iron plate, a net, charcoal, lighter, work gloves, tongs, paper cups, paper plates, and disposable chopsticks.
      The supermarket and the convenience store ate quite far away from the accomodation, so please prepare others beforehand.

      Is it possible to add the ingredients we bought outside even though we chose the food included plan?

      A.

      Yes it is possible to prepare your own food. However, it is recommended to prepare them beforehand as places to buy food it not nearby.

      Is it possible to change the ingredients that I am allergic to?

      A.

      Please inform us about allergies. We will check if it is possible to make adjustments.

      Do we need to take our own plates and chopsticks?

      A.

      Plates and chopsticks are enough for the number of people. Please use them freely.

      Are there sauces and seasonings?

      A.

      Simple types of seasonings are prepared. Sault pepper, salad oil, soy sauce, and Yakiniku sauce can be used freely.

      Is it possible to only ad breakfast for the no meal included plan?

      A.

      The plans that can be used are only dinner included plan or no meal included plan.

      Can we take the foods inside the refrigerator and the kitchen counter?

      A.

      Snacks and drinks (alcohol, soft drinks, coffee, etc.) can all be taken home.
      For customers who are only using the no meal included plan can also enjoy those foods.

      Soft drinks are also included in the All Inclusive.

  • About bonfires and starting fires

      Are there equipments for bonfires or starting fires?

      A.

      Bonfire stands are prepared so please use them freely.
      The instructions on how to use them can be checked in the facility use manual after the check-in.

      Where can be do the bonfires and BBQ?

      A.

      Please use the terrace (concrete part) installed outside. ※Please do not use them on the wood deck as it may cause wildfires.

      Is it ok to use the kitchen utensils?

      A.

      Yes it is. However, please respect the residents near the accomodation consider the time and volume.

      How many showers are there? Also, is the bath and the toilet seperated?

      A.

      There is one shower room on the first floor in the main building (There is no bath tub). Each shower rooms for women and men are prepared so please use them freely. The toilet is in every room.

      Is there a washing machine and a dryer?

      A.

      Yes there is. You are free to use them anytime. Soap and softener are also there for you.

      What kinds of amenities are there?

      A.

      Tooth brush, hairdryer, yukata, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, face towel and bath towel are there for you. All the others that are not mentioned are not provided.

      What can I purchase inside the facilities?

      A.

      Nothing. The supermarket and the convenience store are both far away from the accomodation, so please buy them before visiting.

      Are there diapers for cildren?

      A.

      The accomodation does not have diapers so it would be necessary to prepare your own.

      Total of 4 vehicles can be parked.

      The indoors are not allowed to smoke, but there is an ashtray ready for you in the wood deck.
